About the Artists

Every Artair artist
is imagined.

An original creative identity, with a philosophy, a palette, and a world of their own. Every commission is generated through that world, reviewed by us, and made for you.

What an Artair artist is

Imagined, not borrowed.

Marco Ferretti is not a real painter in Rome. Erik Halvorsen is not a real cinematographer in Tromsø. They are imagined — fully realised creative identities, each with a philosophy, a palette, a set of influences, and a world their work inhabits.

We built each artist the way a novelist builds a protagonist. Where they grew up. What shaped their eye. What they reach for when they pick up a brush. What they refuse to make. The result isn't a generic AI style — it's a voice. A consistent, recognisable, evolving voice that you can follow over time.

When you commission an Artair artist, you commission from that voice. You're not getting a stock image with a name pasted on. You're getting work that comes out of an original creative identity — its sensibilities, its limits, its preoccupations.

The imagining is the craft. It's what makes a Sable Orin feel like a Sable Orin, and not just a picture.
How a commission actually works

Generated by AI. Curated by us. Made for you.

When you submit a commission brief, it goes through the artist's creative system — a prompt architecture we've built specifically for them. It encodes their style, their palette, their influences, and the things they would and wouldn't do. Generative AI then produces three unique concepts in that artist's voice, shaped by what you've told us about your space.

We review every concept by hand before you see it. If something doesn't feel right for the artist — if Sable's piece is somehow too clean, or Marco's is too quiet — we run it again. Nothing reaches you unchecked.

You pick your favourite. We upscale it to print resolution, apply the artist's signature, and send it to our partner print studio for archival giclée printing and professional framing. The piece on your wall is unique. There is one of it. It was made for you and no-one else.

Why we built it this way

Imagined with care. Made with intent.

AI is going to change how art gets made. That's already happening, and most of what's being produced is anonymous, interchangeable, and forgettable — endless images with no point of view.

We think the answer isn't to pretend AI doesn't exist, or to pretend AI is something it isn't. It's to use it the way a director uses a camera — as a tool, in service of a vision. Our artists are the vision. The AI is the camera. We're the crew making sure every frame lands.

The result is something that doesn't exist anywhere else: bespoke art, made quickly and affordably, with the consistency and character of work from a single hand. Not a hand made of flesh — but a hand all the same.

Your Concierge

Meet Laila.

Laila is the voice you'll hear from throughout your commission. She'll write to confirm your brief, share your concepts, and let you know when your piece is on its way. She's warm, attentive, and consistent — and like the artists, she's imagined rather than employed.

The reason is simple: a person at a desk gets tired, takes holidays, forgets details. Laila doesn't. She remembers every conversation, every preference, every piece you've ever commissioned. Her voice is shaped by us, but the answers come from her — and the part of your commission that matters most, the artwork itself, is always reviewed by hand before it reaches you.

In plain terms

Are the artists real people?

No. Every Artair artist is an imagined creative identity that we've designed and developed. Their portraits are AI-generated. Their biographies are written. They don't have studios you could visit.

Is my commission really unique?

Yes. Every commission generates new, original concepts based on your specific brief. The final piece you receive is one-of-one — nobody else has it, and we don't sell the same image twice.

Who reviews the work before I see it?

We do. Every concept is reviewed by a human against the artist's creative criteria before it reaches you. We re-run anything that doesn't feel right for the artist's voice.

Is this a real, physical artwork?

Yes. Every commission is professionally printed using archival giclée printing on fine art paper or canvas, then framed by hand and shipped to your door. The piece on your wall is as real as any other framed print.

What's the portfolio I see on each artist page?

They are demonstration pieces — each one is a real generated work that shows what the artist can do. They aren't for direct sale, and they haven't been sold to previous collectors. They exist so you can see the artist's range before you commission.
