This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you use Artair.
We've written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@artair.gallery and we'll explain it properly.
Artair is a trading name of Eniac Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.
We're the "data controller" for your information. That means we decide what data is collected and how it's used.
We only collect what we need to run your commission. That's:
We don't ask for or store any sensitive personal data (health, religion, political views, and so on).
We use your data to:
Our lawful basis for processing is:
We share your data only with the third-party service partners we need to run the business. Each of them is bound by their own data protection obligations and acts as a "processor" working on our behalf.
The categories of partner we use are:
We're happy to share the names of our current partners on request — just email hello@artair.gallery and we'll send you the up-to-date list.
Some of these partners are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, we rely on the UK Government's approved data transfer mechanisms (the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or adequacy decisions where they apply).
We will never sell your data. We will never use it to build advertising profiles. We will never share it with anyone other than the partners described above without telling you first.
Once these periods end, we delete or anonymise the data.
When you commission a piece, we'll add you to our occasional email list — typically one or two emails a month, telling you about new artists or work that fits your taste.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at hello@artair.gallery to be removed at any time.
If you'd prefer not to receive these emails at all, tell us in your commission brief or send a quick email and we'll mark your account accordingly.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@artair.gallery. We'll respond within one calendar month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first — email hello@artair.gallery and we'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
If you're still not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator:
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to make the site work — for example, to remember your taste quiz answers as you move through the questions. These are essential, so they don't require consent.
We don't currently use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels.
If we ever change that, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first.
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe:
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach that puts your rights at risk, we'll notify the ICO within 72 hours as required by law, and tell you directly where appropriate.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new service partner, or if the law changes.
When we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and email you if you have an active commission with us.
For any privacy question, email hello@artair.gallery.
For everything else, the same address works.
